CSS pause
The CSS pause
property is a shorthand property for adding a prosodic boundary (a pause) in speech media.
The pause
property is shorthand for the pause-after
and pause-before
properties. These properties allow you to define a pause before and after a given element when working with speech media.
The pause
property accepts two values. The first value provided is for pause-before
and the second is for pause-after
. If only one value is provide it applies to both properties.

In addition, all CSS properties also accept the following CSS-wide keyword values as the sole component of their property value:
initial
- Represents the value specified as the property's initial value.
inherit
- Represents the computed value of the property on the element's parent.
unset
- This value acts as either
inherit
orinitial
, depending on whether the property is inherited or not. In other words, it sets all properties to their parent value if they are inheritable or to their initial value if not inheritable.
